Jogjakarta : One Day Gate away :)

Hello world...

For today post, i would like to share about my journey at Jogjakarta in 2012.
so it will be some journey will be written in this post :)
why Jogjakarta? everyone knows that this city have many tourism object that remind us how rich Indonesia in culture, art and heritage.
Jogjakarta is popular as cultural, culinary and also student city. beside the culture, we also could find many traditional foods here, with some local ingredients and have very delightful taste, we also find some colleges here, either public or private college. Many people outside Jogjakarta have studied here and Now, Jogjakarta become more crowded than before. :)

so without many words, i will start it :)

what did i do in Jogja?

my first trip to Jogja was i have been invited by a company to have recruitment process. :p
i only visited jogja for 1 day, and after the process finished, i went home to Balikpapan, but its very interesting, because i could find one of my favorite food in Jogja, which are Bakmi Jawa and Gudeg.

what did i eat in Jogja?

at jogja, i ate Bakmi Jawa, what is Bakmi jawa? is egg noodles, sauted with some spices such as garlic, shallots, and soy sauce, stir with minced chicken, chicken stocks, duck egg  and add some vegetables such as cabbage, pokcoy or bean sprout (if like), i really like this kind of dish, it very delicious and i never find bakmi jawa as good as this bakmi jawa in other city :D , i ate Bakmi Jawa in Pak Pele Stalls. its located in Alun-Alun Utara Jogja, and its very crowded if you came here above 7pm.

the other dishes that i ate was Gudeg Jogja, Gudeg is one of traditional food from jogja, the taste is majorly sweet, Gudeg made from Jackfruit, it cooked with palm sugar and coconut milk for almost 2 days until it color changed. you can eat gudeg with fried chicken, brown-salted egg,  krecek (a spicy dish made from cow skin and bean) and rice. i eat gudeg yu djum, because so many stalls sell her gudeg, and the other gudeg brand was gudeg mbarek Hj Amad, near UGM.

on those day i eat only two kind of dishes, and the price was cheap. Jogja become famous because of it cheap food. but the taste & quality are really good :)
